Dog Gone Walking
Our services include personalized dog walking,
dog boarding, puppy visits and cat sitting.
My name is Cheryl Benson. I have been a
professional dog walker and proprietor of Dog
Gone Walking since 2001. I am bonded, insured and certified in pet
First Aid. I am also experienced in providing related
services such as visiting and caring for dogs and cats
in their home environment, and boarding dogs in my home.
For many years, I have been a volunteer
with a number of animal rescue organizations throughout
Toronto. |

| Over the years, I have
developed an interest in all aspects of dog care, from
the philosophical to the practical. As a result of living
with my own dogs, Stella and Henry, I naturally became
interested in issues related to dog behaviour, ownership
and responsibility. |

I have gained an understanding of canine psychology
and how it relates to all levels of interaction with dogs
by participating in dog obedience classes and observing
behavioural training sessions conducted by a reputable trainer.
Participation in agility training provided an additional
perspective. |
| I keep my skills current by attending seminars
and by doing additional reading and research on my own.
I also find it helpful to maintain a network of friends
and associates who are also involved in various aspects
of canine care. |
